Complex Home Improvement LLC (“CHI,” “we,” or “us”) provides home improvement and handyman services in Virginia and the Metro-DC area. This policy describes information handled through complexhomeimprovement.com, our CHI-hosted website, and communications about our services.
Information you provide
When you contact us, you may provide your name, email address, telephone number, property location, project details, preferred visit times, photos, and paint or material selections. We receive the information you choose to send in calls, text messages, emails, and project communications.
Our website’s estimate form prepares a message in your messaging app. Filling out the form does not itself send an estimate request to CHI. You must review and send the message. Your messaging provider handles that transmission, and carrier charges may apply.
How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, discuss requested work, arrange property visits, prepare estimates, communicate about projects, and provide requested services. Technical information is used to operate the website, troubleshoot problems, and limit misuse.
Optional AI kitchen previews
When available, our kitchen-preview feature accepts a kitchen photo, product-reference images, product names and links, design preferences, and notes. Selecting a photo alone does not upload it. Submitting a generation request with the required consent sends photos and design instructions to OpenAI to generate a preview.
For successful requests, the application stores the submitted images, generated preview, design details, creation time, and consent indicator in storage used by CHI. It also stores a hashed IP address and dated request count to limit repeated requests. A hashed IP address is not necessarily anonymous.
The current feature allows anyone with the unique generated-image link to view that image without a customer login. Treat that link as private. Submit only images you are authorized to use, and avoid including people, personal documents, or other sensitive details.
AI previews are illustrative. They do not establish actual dimensions, product availability, structural suitability, or final project results.
Providers and external links
The website uses Sites hosting and Cloudflare infrastructure and storage. The optional kitchen-preview feature uses OpenAI when enabled. These providers process information involved in delivering their services. Telephone, email, and messaging providers also handle communications through their systems.
Our Sherwin-Williams link opens an external color visualizer. Photos uploaded there are handled by that service, and color choices do not automatically transfer to CHI. Links to Home Depot and Lowe’s also lead to separate websites. Review those providers’ privacy notices before submitting information to them.
Payment, customer-management, and marketing services
CHI has not yet set up a payment processor, customer-management platform, or marketing email/text service. The current website does not offer online payment collection or enrollment in a marketing program.
If we introduce these services, we will update this policy to describe the information involved, its purposes, relevant providers, and available choices, and obtain consent where required. A service inquiry is not treated as permission to enroll you in an unrelated marketing program.
Cookies and technical information
The current CHI application does not include Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or advertising-tracking integrations. Hosting infrastructure may process technical connection and security information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect the website. The kitchen-preview feature uses the request-limiting information described above.
External websites linked from CHI may use their own cookies or tracking technologies. Browser settings can help you manage cookies, although disabling them may affect some services. We will update this notice if we introduce additional analytics or advertising technologies.
Retention
We retain information for purposes such as responding to inquiries, providing requested services, maintaining relevant project records, and meeting applicable obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and its purpose.
The current kitchen-preview application does not automatically expire uploaded images, generated images, design records, or request-limit records. You can contact us to request deletion. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or legitimate recordkeeping purposes; provider retention may also apply.
Security
No website, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure. Avoid sending passwords, payment-card details, government identification numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information through project notes, photos, email, or text messages. Contact us if you believe information sent to CHI has been exposed or used improperly.
Your choices and privacy requests
You may choose not to provide optional information or use the AI preview feature. You can contact us to ask about your information or request access, correction, or deletion. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Specific legal rights and response requirements depend on applicable law and whether it covers CHI’s activities. Nothing in this policy limits rights available under applicable law.
Children’s information
The website is intended for adults arranging home improvement services. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address the information appropriately.
Service area and processing locations
CHI serves Virginia and Metro-DC area. Our service area does not determine where providers process or store information; provider processing locations depend on their services and arrangements.
Changes to this policy
When this policy is published, it will display its effective or last-updated date. We will revise it when our practices change and provide any additional notices or choices required by applicable law.
